Fried Nian Gao Recipe

Here is one of my favourite family recipe : Fried Nian Gao Recipe

Easy to make, perfect for breakfast and afternoon tea with friends and family. It will definite satisfy your sweet tooth or teeth ! 

Ingredients:


Half bowl steamed hardened Nian Kau

2 eggs

100 gm plain flour
Olive oil or cooking oil


Methods:

1 Slice Nian kau into thin pieces of half centimetre thick.

2 Beat eggs with a whisk or fork.

3 Sieve the flour and add to the beaten egg.  Mix till smooth and thick consistency.

4 Add in the sliced Nian Kau, coat well.

5 Heat a stainless steel frying pan or non-stick frying pan.  Pour in one ( 1 ) tablespoon olive oil, lower the flame, place into the pan pieces of coated Nian Kau.  Fry both sides until light golden brown.

6 Serve while warm with a cup of coffee or tea in the morning breakfast or tea break.
